Louth County Council has published a Draft Local Authority Climate Action Plan
We are now looking for your input. Help us to shape appropriate actions to facilitate and enable effective climate action at a local and community level. Our Plan is currently in draft, and the final version is scheduled to be considered for adoption by our Elected Members in February 2024.
Strategic goals are informed by the key themes that emerged from the issues collated as part of the evidence base and stakeholder engagement processes.

How to make a submission
Written submissions or observations regarding the Draft Climate Action Plan, SEA Environmental Report and AA Natura Impact Report, are invited from members of the public and other interested parties. You can make a submission or observation between Wednesday 22nd November to Wednesday 20th December 2023 inclusive, through the following options only
• A written submission can be made electronically through the Council’s Public Consultation Portal https://consult.louthcoco.ie/ up to 5:00pm on Wedesday 20th December 2023;
or
• In writing to the Climate Action Coordinator, Sustainability Section, County Hall, Millennium Centre, St. Alphonsus Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth A91 KFW6.

How to Write a Helpful Submission
Please write submissions that:
Are short and to the point.
Are focused on one or more of the key themes of interest to you. It does not have to be on all issues.
Include your name and address.
The content of your submission may be published as part of the plan-making process. When making a submission you should give careful consideration to any personal information about yourself or others that you disclose. This is an open and public process and all parties have a right to view submissions and personal information therein. At all times Louth County Council will comply with GDPR Guidelines.
