Draft Clogherhead Town Centre First Plan

A draft Town Centre First Plan has been developed for Clogherhead.  The draft Plan has been developed following a collaborative approach between the Clogherhead town team, local stakeholders, elected members, Louth County Council, urban designers Building Design Partnership Ltd (BDP) and feedback from the local community.

The draft non-statutory plan has created a vision and set out specific objectives and interventions to help re-imagine and revitalise the town centre. The Plan will not be set in stone but will set out a range of potential opportunities. A local representative ‘Town Team’ has been formed who in collaboration with the Council will use the Plan to help deliver improvements to the town. The Plan also sets out a vision that is intended to stimulate investment from the private sector.

The Plan is informed by what the community and local stakeholders said during the first stage of public consultation which took place between 8th May 2024 until Wednesday 2nd May 2024 and translates the challenges identified and the ideas proposed into an ambitious yet realistic vision.

As part of the non-statutory public consultation process, Louth County Council is conducting an online survey for the purposes of gathering valuable local information and feedback. We would love to hear from you and invite you to participate in the survey. The online survey can be found at the following link or QR code:
