Closed26 Mar, 2026, 14:30 - 22 May, 2026, 14:30
Pre-DRAFT RSES Public Consultation - Strategic Issues Paper
The RSES is a spatial and economic strategy for the region which guides where people will live, work, study and visit into the future. It supports the implementation of the National Planning Framework and the economic policies and objectives of the Government, and in this respect, it provides a long-term framework for the coordinated development of our urban and rural places, infrastructure, transport, economic activity and our environment across the region. In doing so, it considers the needs, challenges, opportunities and pressures facing the region by providing appropriate policy responses.
The Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly have commenced a review of the Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) and are seeking input from communities, stakeholder and all interested parties on the future of the region. The region includes 12 local authorities areas, see below.
