Louth County Council invites applications for funding for Festivals to take place in 2026
There are two streams of funding open for applications:
- Louth County Council Festival Grant Initiative 2026
Applications for funding, up to a maximum grant of €8,000, are now being sought by Louth County Council under the Festival Grant Initiative 2026. This initiative is open to local and community festivals and/or events which will benefit the local economy and tourism in the County. This will be the only funding scheme available for tourism events occurring in 2026. Click here for application.
- Louth County Council Regional Festivals & Participative Events Programme 2026
Applications for funding are now being sought by Louth County Council, in partnership with Fáilte Ireland, under the Regional Festivals & Participative Events Programme 2026. This is open to festivals/events which aim to draw tourists from outside the locality and will showcase Louth’s culture, heritage and landscape. Click here for application.
It is important that you read the qualifying criteria carefully to ensure you apply for the correct grant funding.
Application forms for both these initiatives are available to download from Wednesday, 3rd December 2025.
Completed Application Forms must be returned to: Festival Grant Funding, Susan L Murphy, Economic Development Section, Louth County Council, Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth, A91 W20C by 5pm on Wednesday 21st January 2026 or submitted by email to tourism@louthcoco.ie.
