Notice of Intention to temporarily close road L7066 Ballagan to Ballynamony (Murphy), from its junction with the L7068 at Ballagan - Section 75 Roads Act, 1993 - to facilitate Coastal Protection works in Ballgan.
In accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 and the Road Regulations 1994, Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close:
• L7066 Ballagan to Ballynamony (Murphy), from its junction with the L7068 at Ballagan
to public traffic from 8:00am to 18:00pm from Thursday 2nd July, 2026 to Monday 27th July, 2026 inclusive to facilitate the provision of Coastal Protection works in Ballagan.
Local access and emergency access will be maintained.
Diversion Route North: Traffic travelling from Ballagan towards Ballynamony (Murphy) will be diverted westbound via the L7068 and then northbound via the L7067 to the end of the diversion route.
Diversion Route South: The above diversion route will apply in reverse.
Any person who wishes to object to this closure should lodge an objection in writing (envelope clearly marked “Road Closure Objection”) to the undersigned or via Louth County Council’s Online Consultation Portal https://consult.louthcoco.ie/en/browsenot later than 16:00pm on Tuesday 16th June, 2026.
