Louth County Council invites expressions of interest from parties interested in the development and management of the 28-acre “Pitches 4 Drogheda” site, located north of the PANCR in Newtownstallaban, Drogheda. The site has been identified for the development of circa 7 municipal playing pitches, primarily for soccer, with flexibility to accommodate other field sports as required to meet the sporting needs of Drogheda.
A Sports Capital Grant was secured in 2015 for the development of the playing surface. Access to the site will be via the PANCR following completion of Phase 2 (timing to be confirmed).
Louth County Council is now seeking high-level, non-binding proposals from interested parties for the development and management of the site—either in full or in part—while ensuring that access for local clubs, groups, and organisations is protected. Proposals from consortia, partnerships, or entities seeking collaboration with Louth County Council are also welcomed.
This is an initial exploratory process; we are not requesting detailed or costly design or technical submissions at this stage.
